Not sure what this guy was doing—some sort of fishing contraption?
20120509_019_mekong_web
Crocodile farm? Who knew? These were apparently, "ready for the restaurant," according to our guide. Apparently not endangered.
20120509_020_mekong_web
These ones, 3 year olds, at least got some water to swim in.
20120509_021_mekong_web
According to our guide, the one on the right is "pregnant," which I presume means ready to lay eggs, or whatever.
20120509_022_mekong_web
No comment necessary.

Sweet dreams!
20120509_024_mekong_web
Ditto!

We pass a Vietnamese boat.
20120510_052_mekong_web
No idea what this boat is doing, or why its stern is so low in the water.
20120510_053_mekong_web
Some kind of natural gas terminal, I'd guess. Note that some of the decorative stone work has already started to disintegrate.
20120510_054_mekong_web
At the end of the NG terminal were these houses. I wonder if many were demolished so the terminal could be built.
20120510_055_mekong_web
Another Vietnamese boat, at some kind of terminal.

Approaching Phnom Penh, we reach the confluence of the Mekong and Tonle Sap Rivers. The Mekong meanders off north and east, while we'll head north and west down the Tonle Sap toward downtown.

The mouth of the Tonle Sap River (and downtown) can be seen in the centre.
